TL;DR: We collect minimal data, never sell it, you can delete everything anytime, and the OS itself has zero telemetry by default.

1. Who We Are

G4 OS is developed and operated by G4 Business Technologies Private Limited, a company incorporated in India (CIN: U72900KA2024PTC000001). Registered address: Bangalore, Karnataka, India. DPO contact: privacy@g4.business

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account Data (if you create an account)

  • Name and email address
  • Encrypted password hash (bcrypt, never plaintext)
  • Payment method tokens (processed by Razorpay/Stripe — we never store card numbers)
  • License key and device fingerprint (for licence enforcement only)

2.2 OS Usage Data (opt-in only)

The G4 OS operating system collects zero telemetry by default. If you opt in to "Help improve G4 OS" in Settings, we collect: crash reports (anonymised), hardware class data (CPU arch, RAM range — no serials), and feature usage counts. No file names, no content, no browsing history, ever.

2.3 AI Prompts

When using G4 AI cloud mode, your prompts are sent to our AI infrastructure and/or third-party model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google). Prompts are not used to train models without explicit consent. On-device AI processes data entirely locally.

3. How We Use Data

  • Providing and improving the G4 OS service
  • Licence management and anti-fraud
  • Sending transactional emails (invoices, security alerts)
  • Legal compliance obligations

We never sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.

4. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA / DPDP)

  • Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure: Delete your account and all associated data within 30 days
  • Portability: Export your data in JSON format
  • Objection: Opt out of any processing at any time
  • CCPA (California): Right to know, delete, and opt-out of sale (we do not sell)

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Deleted accounts are purged within 30 days from all systems. Crash reports are retained for 90 days. Financial records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian law.

6. Cookies

This website uses strictly necessary cookies only (session token, CSRF token). No third-party advertising cookies. No analytics cookies without consent.

7. Security

All data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.3. Data at rest uses AES-256. We maintain a responsible disclosure programme at /security.
